In detail
The ICHN offsets the extra costs and income losses of farmers operating in areas with natural constraints (mountains, disadvantaged areas). Paid per hectare on a degressive basis, it is co-funded by EAFRD and the State. It is requested via the CAP declaration.
Eligibility conditions
Farm headquarters and at least 80% of utilised agricultural area in a disadvantaged zone; minimum and maximum stocking rate depending on the zone; be an active farmer.
How to get it
- Check your land's classification as a disadvantaged zone
- Declare your areas and animals on TéléPAC
- Tick the ICHN in the declaration
- Sign before the deadline (mid-May)
